Fort Myers, Florida - Hematopathologist

American Oncology Network is recruiting a Hematopathologist.

About the Lab:

AON’s in-house pathology laboratory serves over 100 physicians in 18 states and has earned the “Golden Standard” certification from the College of American Pathologists. The state-of-the-art facility, which is headquartered in Fort Myers, is staffed by a team of highly specialized laboratory scientists, and pathologists. Because of the design of the network, AON physicians have access to a wide range of testing services that can be done through the in-house laboratory including histology with immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, cytogenetics, FISH and some molecular testing.

 

Additionally, our lab uses Lean and Six Sigma tools to improve our processes and test turnaround times so that diagnoses can be made earlier, easing patient anxiety as well as ensuring necessary treatments are not delayed.

 

Required Qualifications

The candidate must be board certified in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and be BC/BE in Hematopathology. Candidate must have an active medical license (in any of the United States). Board certification and or experience in molecular pathology is a plus but not required.

 

The candidate should have strong diagnostic skills in benign and malignant bone marrow pathology and be familiar with flow cytometry and molecular hematopathology testing and interpretation.

 

Compensation & Benefits:

The candidate will be evaluated on their educational background, scholarly work, and experience. Salary will be commensurate with laboratory/pathology experience as well as scholarly or scientific accomplishments.
