New VPs solidify AON’s commitment to driving efficiencies and optimizing reimbursement for practice growth

Joan Goda has been named Vice President, Payer Strategy & Relations and Christine Hall will serve as Vice President, Revenue Cycle. With decades of combined experience enhancing efficiencies and revenue opportunities, the two leaders join AON with a focus on continuing to drive forward key payer and revenue cycle initiatives that help practices grow profitably, remain compliant and work more efficiently.

As Vice President, Payer Strategy & Relations, Goda will lead contracting, credentialing, and value-based care activities. With an extensive background in the payer strategy and relations arena, she most recently served as Executive Director, Payer Strategy & Relations at Arizona Oncology. Prior to that, she held the position of Vice President of Managed Care for a multi-hospital / physician health system, as well as similar national leadership roles in healthcare consulting and on the health plan side.

With more than 20 years of healthcare experience, Hall has spent the last 15 years specifically focused on revenue cycle management. In her new role as Vice President, Revenue Cycle at AON, she will oversee revenue cycle management from patient intake through payment processing. Hall comes to AON from GI Alliance, where she was responsible for revenue cycle operations as Vice President. Prior to that, she held the Executive Director, Revenue Cycle Management position at McKesson, as well as similar roles in healthcare reimbursement.

Fort Myers, Fla., June 2, 2020 – Drs. Boccia and Priego welcome Medical Oncologist Dr. Mark Goldstein to the practice. The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD), an American Oncology Network (AON) partner, has two office locations in Maryland, Bethesda at 6420 Rockledge Drive, Suite 4100 and in Germantown at 19735 Germantown Road, Suite 255. Dr. Goldstein is seeing patients in both locations.

Dr. Goldstein earned his medical degree from St. George’s University. He then completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Connecticut, an externship in bone marrow transplant at Yale New Haven Hospital, followed by a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Connecticut. He is Board certified in medical oncology, hematology and internal medicine.

High-growth oncology provider quickly deploys technology to ensure patients across the country have virtual access to cancer care treatment during healthcare crisis

Fort Myers, Fla., April 9, 2020 – American Oncology Network, LLC (AON) recently launched telehealth services across all AON sites, allowing patients continued and convenient access to care, while mitigating the impact and spread of COVID-19. This virtual care solution plays a vital role in response to the pandemic crisis, maintaining patient access to care directly from home.

Through the use of video chat, AON providers consult with patients remotely, share laboratory results, treatment plans, and more. The growing AON network of community-based oncology practices has embraced telehealth adoption, not only to fulfill immediate healthcare needs in response to the outbreak, but also to support the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care. Since the recent ‘go live,’ close to 700 telehealth visits have been completed and the numbers are expected to rise at a rapid rate. Telehealth visits are now covered by most insurance plans; patients may pay the same costs for an in-office visit.
